Start with confirmed facts, not a route promise
LoloBuy's official Google Play listing describes a cross-border shopping platform with shopping guidance, payments, language and currency support, and international shipping. Google Play showed an update date of 20 September 2026 when checked. Apple's public version history showed version 1.0.8 on 3 October 2026, but its release note only said that known bugs were fixed and the interactive experience was optimized. Those official pages establish the published service scope; they do not prove that every item or freight line is available to every Danish address.
No official source reviewed for this guide publishes one permanent Denmark freight price, guaranteed transit time or promise that every order uses the Import One Stop Shop. A quote is evidence for one packed parcel on one date. Before payment, confirm destination coverage, prohibited contents, chargeable weight, tracking, compensation, customs handling and whether the displayed VAT wording applies to the exact sale.
Save the seller evidence before LoloBuy purchases the item
Keep the original seller URL, seller name, listing title, selected size, colour or model, quantity, item price, domestic-China delivery terms and capture date. Save the checkout and payment records too. A spreadsheet can help you discover and compare products, but the live seller page and transaction record show what you actually asked an agent to buy. If a listing changes later, this evidence makes a variation, damage or missing-item issue easier to explain.
For clothing, save garment measurements instead of relying on S, M or L. For electronics, record the model, voltage, plug, battery, radio functions and included accessories. For toys, protective equipment, cosmetics and electrical products, research Danish and EU rules before purchase. A seller claim, CE mark or warehouse photograph does not by itself prove legal conformity, authenticity or safe use in Denmark.

Use warehouse QC for visible questions
Compare each available QC image with the saved order: item identity, quantity, colour, visible condition, labels and included parts. Ask questions that can change the dispatch decision. Is the measured length consistent with the seller chart? Is the model number readable? Is the requested connector present? Is a seam damaged, a print off-centre or a surface visibly marked? If an important view is missing and an inspection option is offered, request that exact view.
QC also has limits. Lighting changes colour, perspective changes proportions and packaging hides surfaces. Photos cannot prove electrical safety, battery capacity, chemical composition, radio compliance, authenticity or customs eligibility. Use visible evidence to approve, clarify or follow the current return process while the item remains in China. Download the images and decision notes before submitting the parcel.
Build the Denmark landed cost in four layers
Separate product, warehouse, international freight and Danish import costs. Product cost includes the item, seller delivery within China, conversion and checkout charges. Warehouse cost contains only inspection, repacking or protection actually selected. Freight depends on packed size, actual and chargeable weight, route restrictions, tracking and protection terms. The Denmark layer can include VAT, customs or excise duty and the carrier's customs-clearance fee.
Compare routes using the same carton, contents and Danish postcode. Record the quote date, dimensions, billed weight, compensation terms and tax wording. Consolidation can remove repeated base charges, but it can also increase dimensional weight or combine items with different tariff classifications. Mark every amount as quoted, paid, estimated or final, then replace estimates with the carrier invoice and customs evidence.

Calculate Danish VAT from the full basis
The Danish Customs Agency states that VAT is 25% on goods bought outside the EU. For import collection, the basis is broader than the seller price: it includes the amount paid for the goods, shipping costs, customs duty and other duties. Multiplying only the product price by 25% can therefore understate the landed cost.
Keep the goods value, international freight, insurance, customs duty, excise duty and carrier service fee as separate rows. The carrier normally submits the declaration and may charge its own handling fee; that fee is a commercial service charge, not the customs duty itself. Ask the carrier where VAT and duty are shown and preserve the assessment rather than treating an unexplained payment message as proof.
Understand IOSS and the EUR 150 limit
IOSS is an optional EU import scheme for eligible distance sales sent directly from outside the EU to consumers. The Danish Tax Agency says the intrinsic value of the consignment must not exceed EUR 150. When the scheme is used correctly, Danish VAT is collected at checkout and the IOSS information is passed in the customs declaration, so import VAT is not collected again on delivery. The IOSS identifier is confidential and may not appear on a customer invoice.
IOSS does not cover excise goods, and it does not apply merely because a site displays Danish currency or a tax-inclusive price. The official sources reviewed here do not establish that every LoloBuy order or route uses IOSS. Check the live checkout, invoice and shipment paperwork. If VAT was charged at checkout but the carrier asks for import VAT again, keep both payment records and ask the seller or platform to correct the duplicate collection.

Apply the 2026 EUR 3 low-value customs duty correctly
From 1 July 2026, the EU removed the customs-duty exemption for imported consignments not exceeding EUR 150. The temporary rule imposes EUR 3 per item supplied as a distance sale of imported goods in a low-value consignment. This is not one EUR 3 charge per parcel: a parcel containing several supplied items can produce several EUR 3 charges. Use the item-level declaration and final customs assessment rather than estimating a single flat amount for the carton.
For consignments over EUR 150, ordinary tariff rules apply and the rate depends on the goods. The older Danish Customs consumer page still describes the former below-EUR 150 exemption in part of its general text, so the newer EU and Danish notices effective from 1 July 2026 control the low-value point. Also distinguish the EUR 3 customs duty from any carrier fee and from the separately discussed future EU handling fee. Do not add a handling fee to a budget unless it is actually in force and shown for the route.
Consolidate only after checking tax and classification
Consolidation may reduce packaging or repeated international freight charges, but it should follow the customs calculation rather than replace it. Keep a line-by-line contents list with plain descriptions, quantity, paid value, tariff clues and seller order reference. Avoid vague descriptions such as accessory, sample or gift when they do not accurately identify the goods. A parcel handled by a commercial intermediary is not a private gift merely because its declared value is low.
Combining goods can move a consignment above the EUR 150 IOSS ceiling or create several tariff-classified items subject to the temporary duty. Reasonably, split parcels can sometimes keep documentation simpler, but they are not automatically cheaper: another base freight charge and carrier fee may outweigh any benefit. Compare both packed quotes using accurate values. Never split or undervalue goods to evade tax or import controls.
Plan for carrier fees, returns and customs evidence
The Danish Customs Agency says the carrier usually declares non-EU goods and may charge a fee for doing so. Self-declaration is possible only by arrangement with the carrier, so do not assume it will eliminate a fee after dispatch. Before selecting a route, ask who acts as declarant, how charges will be requested, what tracking number identifies the parcel and which documents will be available after clearance.
For a returned import, preserve the order invoice, customs assessment, carrier receipt, export tracking and seller refund. Danish Customs says a refund application for import charges should follow the return and seller refund and normally be made within three months after customs clearance. If VAT was collected through IOSS, the seller or platform is generally the first party to contact about a sales-side refund. Confirm the procedure before sending goods back, because a return label alone does not cancel an import assessment.
Check product safety, restrictions and delivery evidence
Denmark's Safety Technology Authority warns that Danish authorities have fewer enforcement options against sellers outside the EU and that non-EU products may not follow the same safety rules. Check the seller's identity and company information before purchase. On arrival, inspect required Danish labels, warnings and instructions, physical hazards and category-specific markings. A CE mark visible in a photo is not a substitute for the required conformity evidence.
Product and carrier rules can be stricter for batteries, liquids, powders, magnets, aerosols, food, medicines, weapons, alcohol, tobacco or branded goods. Platform acceptance, carrier acceptance and lawful Danish import are separate questions. Confirm all three before payment. Do not ask for a false description or value: it can invalidate compensation evidence and create customs problems.
Save the listing, invoice, payment record, QC files, parcel declaration, route terms and dispatch identifier. Tracking can pause between export, line-haul, customs handoff and local delivery; a quiet scan alone does not prove loss or seizure. Contact LoloBuy about warehouse and dispatch records, and the carrier about declarations, payment and last-mile events. Photograph the sealed parcel and contents at delivery.
No Denmark-specific customer-review claim is used in this guide. The identifiable public App Store comments available when checked formed a very small sample and did not document a Danish postcode, VAT record, customs assessment, carrier fee or final landed cost. They cannot establish delivery speed, reliability or customs outcomes for Denmark. Official rules and order-specific documents are stronger evidence.
