01

Start with the limited facts LoloBuy publishes

LoloBuy's public website describes warehouse quality inspection, feedback after inspection and global shipping. Its official mobile-store listings describe a cross-border shopping platform for discovering and purchasing products from China, with payment, language or currency support and international shipping. These statements support a sensible sequence for an Italian buyer: preserve the chosen seller page, compare the received item with warehouse evidence, and review the routes offered for the finished parcel.

They do not establish that every product is legal to import into Italy, that every destination or route is continuously available, or that a displayed product price includes Italian VAT, customs duty and the carrier's administration charge. They also do not publish a universal delivery time or customs-clearance guarantee. Treat the platform description as the outline of a service, then verify every order-specific term in the current interface.

02

Create a seller record that survives a changed listing

A spreadsheet row is useful for discovery, but it is not the seller's complete promise. Before paying, save the original marketplace URL, seller name, listing title, selected colour, size or model, quantity, displayed price and domestic-China delivery terms. Take a dated screenshot only after selecting the exact variation. If a page disappears or changes, that file becomes the baseline for checking the order and warehouse photos.

Record category-specific evidence. For clothing, keep the measurement chart and the relevant body or garment measurements. For shoes, record foot or insole length rather than relying only on an EU size label. For electronics, retain the model, plug type, voltage, battery details and included accessories. For toys, protective equipment, cosmetics, batteries or wireless devices, identify the Italian and EU compliance information required before ordering. A product being available from a seller is not proof that it is compliant in Italy.

03

Use warehouse QC to answer specific questions

When inspection feedback is available, compare product identity, selected variation, quantity, visible condition, labels and included parts with the saved record. Prioritise details that could change your decision: a named measurement, model number, connector, sole shape, print position, damaged edge or missing component. If a decisive point is not visible and a suitable inspection option is currently offered, request one focused image or measurement rather than collecting extra photographs without a purpose.

QC is evidence of visible condition at one moment, not laboratory testing or a legal conformity assessment. Lighting can shift colour, perspective can distort proportions and packaging can conceal surfaces. A warehouse image cannot prove fabric composition, battery capacity, electrical safety, authenticity or valid CE documentation. Use the evidence to approve, request clarification, or follow the return or exchange process available under the live seller and platform terms. Download the images before submitting the parcel.

04

Calculate landed cost in four separate layers

The product price is only the first layer. Record the item price, seller delivery within China, payment conversion and charges displayed at checkout. The warehouse layer contains only the inspections, packaging changes or services you actually select. The international layer begins with the completed parcel's measured weight and dimensions: packing, selected route, chargeable weight, protection terms and route-specific surcharges. The Italy layer contains import VAT, customs duty and any amount charged by the carrier for transport or customs formalities.

A light parcel can still have a high chargeable weight when the box is bulky. Removing retail packaging may reduce volume, but it can also reduce protection or remove useful model and compliance information. Compare only live routes quoted for the same finished parcel and postcode. Save the quote date, actual weight, dimensions, chargeable weight, restrictions, tracking scope and compensation terms. Label each number quoted, paid, estimated or final so the early estimate is never presented as the delivered cost.

Understand Italian VAT and the post-July customs rule

The Italian Customs and Monopolies Agency explains that purchases arriving from outside the EU, including China, can require customs and tax formalities. Import VAT and customs duty are different charges, and the applicable treatment depends on the goods and the declaration. A carrier may also request payment for transport and customs-clearance services. That service amount should not be relabelled as tax in your worksheet.

A major rule changed on 1 July 2026. Italian Customs says the previous customs-duty relief for qualifying distance-sale consignments up to €150 was removed and a temporary €3 duty introduced. The measure covers low-value distance sales from non-EU countries regardless of whether VAT is handled through IOSS, special arrangements or ordinary collection. It is scheduled to remain until 1 July 2028. The €150 threshold is therefore not a tax-free allowance, and VAT still requires separate treatment.

The Agency also discusses a proposed EU handling fee expected no earlier than November 2026, but states that its amount and application date still require a separate EU measure. As of this review, it should be a scenario line, not an invented fixed charge. Use the live carrier quote and customs documents for an actual parcel.

06

The €3 duty is classification-based, not one fee per box

The word item has a customs meaning here. Italian Customs describes an item as goods in one consignment that share the same tariff classification, description and origin. The European Commission gives a practical example: several T-shirts under the same tariff classification attract one €3 amount, while T-shirts and a watch represent two classifications and €6. It is therefore wrong to assume that every physical unit adds €3 or that one consolidated carton always attracts only €3.

This matters when consolidating warehouse orders. Combining purchases may reduce duplicated packaging or transport, but a mixed parcel can contain more tariff classifications, a higher total value and products with different restrictions. Splitting can create multiple carrier charges and does not lawfully erase duty. Compare the finished quotes, genuine values, likely declaration lines, protection and administration costs. Never undervalue, misdescribe or artificially split goods to evade a lawful charge.

Above €150, the temporary flat-duty method is not the relevant calculation. Normal customs treatment can depend on classification, origin and customs value. If a parcel approaches the threshold or contains unusual goods, seek current guidance for the exact contents instead of extrapolating from a low-value example.

07

Check authenticity and product safety before shipping

Italian Customs warns that buying goods whose quality, seller circumstances or price suggest infringement of origin or industrial-property rules can expose an end buyer to an administrative penalty and confiscation. This is not a reason to guess whether a product is genuine from a logo. It is a reason to avoid listings that rely on copied branding, implausible pricing or vague seller information when lawful origin cannot be supported.

EU consumer guidance says all consumer goods sold in the EU must comply with product-safety rules, including goods sold online. CE marking applies only to covered categories, such as toys, electrical and electronic equipment, some batteries and machinery, personal protective equipment and medical devices. A CE logo is the manufacturer's declaration within that system; a logo visible in a photograph is not independent proof that documentation and testing are valid. Safety Gate can be checked for recalls, but the absence of a recall does not certify a product.

Warehouse acceptance and carrier-route availability do not establish legal admissibility. If the seller cannot provide information required for the exact category, resolve that before international dispatch. QC should confirm the item you ordered, while compliance evidence addresses whether it can lawfully and safely enter the market.

08

Prepare a declaration and tracking record that can be checked

Keep a specific commercial description, material where relevant, quantity, genuine price paid, country of origin, seller page, payment record and warehouse evidence. Descriptions such as cotton T-shirt or stainless-steel watch are more useful than gift, accessory or sample. Never ask a seller, agent or carrier to hide a restricted item or declare a false value. Accurate records are the quickest way to answer a legitimate request for clarification.

After dispatch, save the LoloBuy parcel reference and the international carrier number. A platform status may cover purchasing, storage or dispatch, while carrier scans cover collection, export, customs presentation and last-mile delivery. Build one dated timeline and identify which party currently holds the parcel. If a message demands customs, VAT or redelivery payment, verify the tracking number and charge through the carrier's official channel rather than trusting the message link.

09

Close the order with evidence, not a universal verdict

Photograph the unopened carton, label, seals and visible damage. Record the opening for a valuable parcel or compromised box. Compare each delivered item with the seller record, selected variation and warehouse inspection evidence. Replace estimates with the final product, warehouse, freight, VAT, duty and carrier amounts, and keep the customs paperwork until any claim period has ended.

If you publish a LoloBuy Italy review, separate the seller's product, LoloBuy's purchasing and warehouse work, the international carrier and Italian border processing. State the date, parcel facts and outcome you personally observed. Remove names, addresses, payment references and full tracking numbers from screenshots. One delivery cannot establish a platform-wide success rate.

No identifiable Italy-specific customer-review sample was used for this guide. The public material found during research was not detailed or representative enough to support conclusions about Italian delivery times, customs outcomes or satisfaction. The evidence here comes from official platform descriptions and current public customs and safety guidance; all order-specific prices, routes and terms still need a live check.
