Begin with what LoloBuy actually confirms
LoloBuy's public website says products receive a comprehensive quality inspection, inspection feedback is sent to the buyer and global shipping is available. Its official mobile-app listings describe a cross-border shopping platform for discovering and purchasing products from China, with payment, multi-language or multi-currency support and international shipping. Those statements support a cautious workflow: document the chosen listing, compare warehouse evidence with the order and then review the live parcel routes available for the destination.
They do not prove that every product can be sent to France, that a particular route will remain open, or that one price includes French VAT, customs duty and carrier charges. They also do not promise a delivery date or customs outcome. This guide therefore separates official platform statements from independent buyer practice. Check all order-specific amounts and services in the current LoloBuy interface, and use current French or EU guidance for import questions. The tax discussion below concerns metropolitan France; overseas departments and territories can follow different VAT and local-tax rules.
Save a complete seller-link record before payment
A LoloBuy spreadsheet can help you discover products, but a row in a database is not proof that a seller's description is accurate. Save the original marketplace URL, seller name, listing title, selected colour, size or model, quantity, displayed price and domestic-China delivery terms. Capture a dated screenshot after selecting the exact variation. If the listing changes later, this record gives you one stable baseline for the submitted order, warehouse images and delivered item.
Make the record category-specific. For clothing, retain the seller's measurement chart and identify the measurements that matter. For shoes, record foot or insole measurements instead of trusting a regional size label alone. For electronics, save the exact model, plug, voltage, battery details and included accessories. For toys, protective equipment, electrical goods, cosmetics or other regulated products, check French and EU compliance requirements before ordering. A warehouse photograph may reveal a visible mismatch, but it cannot establish chemical composition, electrical safety, genuine certification or legal admissibility.

Turn warehouse QC into a decision, not a photo collection
When LoloBuy inspection feedback becomes available, compare product identity, variation, quantity, visible condition, labels and included parts against the saved order. Look first for evidence that could change your decision: a named measurement, connector, sole shape, print position, model number, damaged corner or missing accessory. If an important point is not visible and an additional inspection option is currently available, request one focused image or measurement rather than extra photographs with no decision purpose.
QC has clear limits. Lighting can alter colour, perspective can distort proportions and packaging can hide surfaces. Exterior photos do not prove authenticity, fibre composition, battery capacity, radio compliance, durability or conformity with EU product law. Use the available evidence to choose one documented next step: approve the item, seek a focused clarification, or use the return or exchange process currently offered under the seller and platform terms. Download the images and preserve the decision before parcel submission.
Calculate the landed cost in separate layers
Do not compare products using the item price alone. Build a worksheet with at least three stages. The product stage contains the unit price, seller delivery inside China, payment conversion and charges displayed at checkout. The warehouse stage contains optional inspections, packaging changes or other services you actually select. The international stage begins when the completed parcel has measured weight and dimensions: packaging, the selected route, chargeable weight, protection terms, French import VAT, customs duty and any carrier administration charge.
A light carton can still be expensive if its dimensions create a higher chargeable weight. Removing retail boxes may reduce volume, but it can also reduce protection, product identification or resale condition. Compare only live routes quoted for the same completed parcel and French postcode. Save the quote date, actual weight, dimensions, chargeable weight, restrictions, tracking coverage and compensation conditions. Mark every number as quoted, paid, estimated or final so an early estimate is never mistaken for the delivered cost.

Budget French VAT and customs duty under the current rules
French Customs states that goods bought online and imported into France from outside the European Union must be declared electronically and that import VAT is due from the first euro. VAT and customs duty are different charges. The applicable VAT rate depends on the goods and tax treatment, so do not apply one universal rate to every category. How VAT is collected can also depend on whether the sale uses the Import One Stop Shop or whether the carrier collects it during import processing.
The customs-duty rule changed on 1 July 2026. The EU removed the former duty relief for distance-sale consignments with an intrinsic value up to €150 and introduced a temporary €3 customs duty. French Customs says this applies to qualifying imported distance sales up to €150 and remains in force until 1 July 2028. Above €150, the temporary flat duty is not the calculation method; normal tariff treatment can depend on the product classification, origin and customs value. The €150 figure is therefore not a tax-free promise.
France briefly had a separate €2 small-parcel tax from 1 March 2026. French Customs says that national measure was repealed on 1 July 2026 when the EU €3 duty began. A current France cost worksheet should not add both the expired French transitional tax and the replacement EU duty to the same post-1-July import. It should still leave distinct lines for import VAT, the applicable customs duty and any administration fee charged by the postal or express operator.
Understand what the €3 duty means for a mixed parcel
The €3 amount is not simply charged once per parcel, and the word item does not necessarily mean each physical unit. European Commission guidance says the calculation follows tariff classification. Its example applies €3 to five T-shirts treated as one item, while one T-shirt plus one watch produces two items and €6. French Customs describes each declaration line as subject to €3, with units sharing the same customs nomenclature grouped together. The declarant's classification and filing determine the actual assessment.
This matters when considering consolidation. Combining several warehouse orders can reduce duplicated packaging or international transport, but a mixed parcel can contain more tariff classifications, a higher total value and products with different compliance requirements. Do not assume that one larger parcel or several smaller parcels will always cost less. Compare the finished LoloBuy quotes, declared contents, likely declaration lines, protection and carrier fees. Never split, misdescribe or undervalue goods to evade lawful charges.
The Commission also states that product identifiers can be submitted voluntarily from 1 July 2026 and are scheduled to become mandatory on 1 November 2026 for the covered low-value process. That future milestone makes precise seller records more useful. Keep model numbers, product links and accurate descriptions now rather than waiting for a carrier to request missing information after dispatch.
Check product safety before the item reaches the warehouse
French consumer authority DGCCRF warned in April 2026 about non-compliant and dangerous products sold through foreign marketplaces. Its CE-marking guidance explains that CE marking is mandatory only for product families covered by the relevant EU legislation, and that the manufacturer must perform the applicable conformity assessment. The mark itself is not a universal quality certificate. A CE logo visible in a seller image or warehouse photograph does not prove that the technical documentation, testing or responsible economic operator is valid.
Check the exact category before payment. Toys, electrical equipment, radio devices, personal protective equipment, batteries, cosmetics and food can involve different authorities and requirements. A seller accepting an order, a warehouse accepting a domestic delivery and a carrier displaying a route do not establish French market compliance. If the product requires documents that the seller cannot provide, treat that as a purchasing decision rather than a problem to solve after international shipping.

Prepare an accurate declaration and tracking record
Retain the commercial product description, material when relevant, quantity, genuine price paid, country of origin, seller page, payment record and warehouse evidence. Use specific descriptions such as cotton T-shirt or stainless-steel watch rather than vague labels such as gift, accessory or sample. Do not ask a seller, platform or carrier to lower the value falsely or conceal a restricted item. Accurate records are the most useful response if customs or the carrier requests clarification.
After dispatch, save both the LoloBuy parcel reference and the carrier tracking number. A platform status may describe warehouse or dispatch activity, while carrier scans describe collection, export, customs presentation and last-mile delivery. Build one dated timeline and identify which party currently holds the parcel. If an unexpected message requests tax, customs or redelivery payment, verify the tracking number and charge through the carrier's official channel before opening a link or supplying information. Delivery estimates remain planning information, not guarantees.
Use delivery evidence to improve the next France order
Photograph the unopened carton, label, seals and visible damage. Record the opening when the contents are valuable or the exterior is compromised. Compare every item with the saved seller record, order variation and warehouse QC evidence. Replace worksheet estimates with the final product, warehouse, international freight, VAT, duty and carrier charges. Preserve customs documents, then remove names, addresses, payment references and full tracking numbers before sharing screenshots.
A useful LoloBuy France review separates the seller's product, LoloBuy's purchasing and warehouse handling, the international carrier and French border processing. State the date, parcel facts and result you personally observed without turning one shipment into a universal success rate. No identifiable France-specific public-review sample was used here: the public app-store material available during research was too small and did not document a French shipment well enough to support broader conclusions. That limitation is more honest than inventing a delivery average, customs success rate or best-agent verdict.
